For the past several years, I've been whipping up these crowd-pleasers — the Ultimate Chocolate Drizzled Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels. It all started when a co-worker brought them to one of our work parties, and they became an instant hit.
These pretzels have become a staple for me, making appearances at Christmas in adorable tins, as sweet gifts, and even stealing the show at my sister-in-law's baby shower and various events. What I love most is their versatility; they're quick and easy to make, and you can switch things up by using colored chocolate melting wafers to match any occasion.
Ingredients:
1 - 16oz. bag of pretzels (I use Snyder's of Hanover Snaps)
2/3 C. of oil
1/3 C. of sugar
1 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon
1/2 C. cinnamon/sugar mixture
1 C. white chocolate chips (can use chocolate melting wafers)
Directions:
Step 1
Whisk together oil, sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl
Step 2
Pour pretzels into a microwave safe bowl
Step 3
Pour oil mixture over pretzels and stir until coated
Step 4
Microwave for 1 minute. Remove and stir
Step 5
Microwave for an additional 45 seconds
Step 6
Stir pretzels again and spread evenly onto 2 cookie sheets covered in parchment paper
Step 7
While pretzels are still warm sprinkle 1/2 C. cinnamon/sugar mixture generously on pretzels
Step 8
Melt chocolate in microwave safe bowl - heating for 30 seconds at a time until melted
Step 9
Using a fork or piping bag to drizzle chocolate over cooled pretzels and wait for choclate to set. You can get creative with the design
Step 10
Serve and enjoy! Store in an airtight container if there are any leftovers
